5 Inspirational Movies at Disney+

Disney+ came to stay for a long time. I mean, we have grown with Disney, so there is nothing that makes us feel better than watching inspirational movies at Disney+.

There is a movie on Disney+ for every mood. If you feel nostalgic, happy, sad, musical, however, you feel.

With everything that has been going around lately is very easy to get discouraged and tired of everything. We can feel unmotivated very quickly, as it seems like things only get worst.

Films can significantly impact our lives, and I think they can even shape a part of who we are. I am sure that a film has inspired us all to the point where we get to feel like we have a purpose and there is something better for us.

Here I will share five movies at Disney+ that have the power to do this. That will inspire you to keep on going and how amazing; life can be at times.

1.) Clouds

Clouds is one of the most heartbreaking yet inspiring movies I’ve ever seen. Although it could appear to be another sad teen cliche movie, it is not that at all.

This movie is based on the true story of Zach Sobiech. Zach was a teenager and singer/songwriter from Stillwater, Minnesota. Zach was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when he was just 14 years old.

A few years later, doctors told him his cancer was terminal. That’s when Zach, who learned to play guitar when he was little, decided to write a handful of songs to say goodbye to his friends and family.

His most popular song, “Clouds,” went viral, first in his home state of Minnesota, then across the United States and then around the World.

Clouds will take you on Zach’s journey and his last days while finding love, creating memories, and leaving a message to the World. It is a beautiful movie to make you appreciate every second of your day, the people you love, and your health.

I will warn you, you will cry, but it is worth it. Like Zach said: “You don’t have to find out you are dying to start living.

2.) The Queen of Katwe

The Queen of Katwe is visually stunning, and it has a very inspiring movie about how where you come from is not a limit to achieving your dreams.

It is based on the true story of Phiona Mutesi, a chess prodigy that lives in Katwe with her family in extreme poverty. She learns to play chess and becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her victories.

This film talks about having potential and building it. It also talks about being resilient. Amidst all the setbacks and lessons, it covers acceptance in society and bracing new ideas and opportunities.

This movie is vibrant, full of fun and lessons. It gets the viewer stuck in their seat. You will love it!

3.) Soul

Soul will make you realize something so simple yet so extraordinary about life. It will make you want to start living.

Soul follows the story of Joe, a middle-school band teacher whose life hasn’t entirely gone the way he expected. His true passion is jazz, but it hasn’t come easy to him.

When a mistake makes him go into The Great Beyond, he embarks on a journey where he gets to find out what it means to truly live and to have a soul.

Pixar has a way of making us cry and feel inspired by every film they make, and with Soul, they achieved that. Truly one of the best films in 2020 and one of the most inspirational movies at Disney+.

4.) Hidden Figures

Hidden Figures is truly inspiring as it tells the story of an incredible real-life achievement. It highlights some inspiring people who helped shape American history.

Primarily it focuses on the triumphs and struggles of three black women whose work was crucial to NASA in the early 1960s — a time when racial segregation was the law of the land, and gender discrimination was still the norm.

This story is inspiring, and it is also significant. I’m thrilled that a movie was made focusing on all the extraordinary black women who served at NASA during the “Hidden Figures” era.

This is a fantastic movie to watch with your family to learn about the History at NASA and who these women who worked there were and did. It is very uplifting and inspiring.

5.) Zootopia

If you haven’t watched Zootopia, where are you living? This movie is, by far, one of Disney’s more solid releases.

The concept of having a city that’s the New York for animals is crazy and funny to watch, but what makes this story stand out is its plot and remarkable characters.

As a girl, this movie is really inspiring as Judy has many obstacles in her way, keeping her from expressing herself and doing what she has always wanted to. Still, the fact that these obstacles never seemed to discourage her from breaking free and achieving her dream is indeed reassuring.

You get to learn some harsh life lessons like racism, the battle for acceptance in a different society, judgmental people, stereotyping, criminals hidden behind office doors while victims being suffered, self-doubt etc.

Zootopia is a great feel-good inspiring movie to watch with the whole family.
